Art Deco GIA 7.65ctw Old EUROPEAN Cut Diamond Engagement Vintage Platinum Ring , Circa 1930
Art Deco GIA 7.65ctw Old European Cut Diamond Platinum Ring, Circa 1930
Some diamonds impress with their grading report. Others impress the moment they start moving in the light.
This extraordinary Art Deco ring centers an almost 6-carat Old European cut diamond, hand-cut more than a century ago and filled with everything we love about antique diamonds: enormous chunky facets, a high crown, beautiful fire, warmth, and a personality that simply cannot be replicated by a modern precision-cut stone.
The center diamond is GIA certified #11764435005:
5.95 carats
Old European Brilliant
S–T color
VS2 clarity
Measurements: 11.39 × 11.80 × 6.60 mm
Yes, this diamond has warmth—and beautifully so. Its broad, chunky facets catch and return light in large flashes rather than the smaller, more uniform sparkle associated with modern brilliant cuts. Depending on the light and angle, the stone shifts from warm champagne tones to bright flashes of white and rainbow fire.
And at nearly 6 carats, its presence is spectacular.
The diamond is set in a beautifully constructed platinum Art Deco mounting, dating to approximately the 1930s. The architecture is unmistakably Deco: strong geometric shoulders, clear step cut trapezoid cut diamonds, elongated baguette/step-cut side diamonds, smaller swizz, single cut accent diamonds, and delicate pierced details that soften the substantial center stone.

It is for someone who wants an antique diamond to look antique.
Nearly six carats of hand-cut facets, warmth, history and individuality, preserved in an original-style Art Deco platinum setting. A true statement ring—and one that could never be mistaken for something made yesterday.
