Super Rare...Authentic English Georgian 1760s 3 Stone Rose Cut Diamond Engagement Wedding Ring in 14k Yellow Gold and Silver

Georgian Jewelry Never Loses Its Value! I encourage all collectors to consider Georgian jewelry as a sound investment that will bring endless pleasure.**
Sadly, few pieces of Georgian jewelry have survived to the present. Never mass-produced and sometimes falling victim to jewelers who valued it mainly for its components, Georgian jewelry has become extremely rare and precious.

It is 18th century, circa 1760, and English in origin, Three stone diamond ring - a rare survivor, this extraordinary diamond ring features a spready, foil backed, Pearl rose cut diamond, flanked by another 2 large rose cut diamonds. Designed with classical  closed-back cut down setting, to the similarly-cut diamond sides and ridged shoulders, fluted with a scalloped back and flanked by intricate and delicate scrolls, gently flowing down the ornate diamond crusted shoulders to a tapered shank.
The arches and swirls are constrained and as expected of Georgian jewelry, well proportioned.

The EGL report  #400175178D described diamonds as follows: One Pear Rose Cut Diamond Measurements: 7.70 x 5.80 x 2.00 mm Weight: .40 carat Color: G-H Clarity I1, however,  the impressively proportioned stone display the outer dimensions of 0.80ct modern cut Pear shape diamonds; 2 Cushion Rose Cut Diamonds Weight: .0.40 carat total, F-G color I clarity, plus 2 small rose cuts. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated total diamond spread weight 0.84cts, though this is no indication of the total diamond weight. The diamonds are foil back. Individual diamond size and setting prevents accurate assessment of color/clarity grades.
It measures a 6 3/4 - US, N - UK
The height - 4.63mm
The band tappers from 2.90 to 1.90mm.
The ring is 14 Yellow gold ( tested ) and silver, circa 1760.

Although in good condition, the ring shows its age which, of course, is part if its charm. The ring displays a noticeable patina and sign of past sizing, in keeping with general wear, and it is entirely original.
Since we list antique and vintage items we try to make sure to identify any issues. However please go over the photos so you can assess any wear issues that would matter to you personally.
Please note: gemstones may vary slightly in color tones from one computer to another.
!!These pieces are clearly handmade, even the stones appear hand-cut. Advised a careful cleaning, just use chamois cloth and avoid dipping in water due to foiled backs.

This Authentic Ring of the Georgian era  is magnificently crafted ( by hand), beautiful to behold, and wonderfully wearable.

**Jewelry from the Georgian era, defined as the period between 1714 and 1837, has an opulent and regal flair. During the Georgian era, named for Kings George I, II, and III of England, fine jewelry was worn almost exclusively by the wealthy.
