A Magnificent Australian Black Opal from famous Lighting Ridge Mine with Diamonds and Blue Sapphires Platinum Ring.
Highly collectible the Center Opal is 4.17ctct with Body Tone 2N, Brilliance 4 on the scale 1 to 5, Very Brilliant. Solid NATURAL AUSTRALIAN BLACK OPAL CABOCHON in Cushion Shape. This 8 Prong-set black opal displays electric play of color. The confetti like pattern with all possibly colors of blue and green, even turquoise!
The opal has super play of colors, depending on how the flashes of colors are viewed from different angles caused by the light that is infused into the stone.. No black dead spots or gemological evidence of crazing is present, not a doublet, not backed with any other color, all natural and has lots of fire!
A delightful piece for an avid opal collector and antique lover. Unfortunately, photos can not show the true brilliance of the Opal, it looks more flat, it is much more beautiful in person!
It is Surrounded by French cut Blue Sapphires with estimated total weight of .76ct. Cathedral band with few sprinkles of diamonds, 0.10ct. And phenomenal surprise: fully incrusted in diamonds, almost 4 carats ( approx. 3.77ct ) the back of the ring!!! Diamonds are ice white and sparkly, F-G color and VS quality overall.
The Top Ring measures 19.01*16.47mm. Created in Platinum ( tested). The band tapers from 2.01 mm to 1.3mm and raised 8.64mm from the finger.
The weight of the ring is 6.77 grams, nice and solid.
The ring is a size 6 1/4. (sizable).
