A Graceful Gorgeous Original Victorian Diamond Drop Pendant Necklace. Late-19th century. The Center is a Shy 1.50 carat ( 1.33ct ) Old European cut Diamond, certified by EGL USA as L color VS2 clarity. The diamond is very light yellow under a powerful diamond grading light with a 10x loupe and faces up very well and looks warm white in natural light. Very Bright, Shimmering and VERY CLEAR diamond. Set into sparkling double halo of numerous small antique old cut diamonds, together weighing approx 1.00 carat and would equate to SI Clarity I-J Color in modern Diamonds. The length is 1 inch, the diameter is 3/4". The weight is 4.38 grams, Solid. Crafted in Silver over 14k rose gold (tested). Oxidized (blackened) silver lends a dramatic contrast to the bright-White Diamonds. Made in Europe, most likely Austria-Hungary or Imperial Russia. The pendant comes with a later added thin 14k white gold 17 inch chain. The bail is large enough to accommodate your favorite chain or cord. The condition: Very little wear to the setting in the form of minor abrasions and knicks to the metals. Center diamond is in good condition with no bruising or chipping to the girdle.
